The B7 Vitamin deficiency testing (Biotin test) may be used to determine Vitamin B7 deficiency. Vitamin B7 or Biotin is needed for cell growth, metabolism of fats and amino acids and production of fatty acids. Vitamin B7 or Biotin deficiency is rarely caused by malnutrition but may be caused by malabsorption disorders like celiac disease, Crohn’s, or cystic fibrosis.
